Web3 is the era of technology defined by being built upon decentralized blockchain technology, underpinned by token-based economies. This decentralized, trustless version of the internet is substantially more transparent and allows users to partake in the governance of the systems in which they transact - instead of relying on opaque companies working in their own self-interest.

Web3 games (sometimes called play-to-earn, play-to-own, crypto, blockchain or NFT games) are digital games that use blockchain technology as an underlying component of a game’s economy.

Web3 games are currently the most heavily invested sector of the game economy, with billions of dollars invested in Web3 games and gaming infrastructure technology companies in the early months of 2022. More specifically, mobile games made over $116B in revenue worldwide last year - an astounding number for a 15-year-old industry.

While Web3 games are still relatively new, there’s already a major emerging trend for Web3 games: Play-to-Earn (P2E) games.

At their core, P2E games offer gamers rewards that have real-world value. Often coming in the form of in-game NFT assets, these rewards can be traded for other purchases or sold for actual money in an open marketplace. Since the player owns these assets, they have an ownership stake in the game itself.

Play-and-Own (P&O) is an emerging philosophy in Web3 games. P&O games aren’t so much a different category of the game as an evolution in game and economy design. P&O games still retain elements of P2E mechanics but focus more on fun, community, and long-term economic sustainability rather than the profitability of play.

With the exponential growth of Web3 trend in general and the NFT boom in particular, it’s where Rongos was born.

The philosophy of Rongos is to advance the Web3 gaming experience from all angles and build a marvelous world where citizens can have fun and long-term economic sustainability rather than the profitability of play.

Rongos NFTs are created with a unique style exclusively drawn by talented visual 2D sculptors. More than just avatars, they are the medium by which players can interact with the Rongos Metaverse by playing games, socializing, incubating, and trading with other players. There are seven families of Rongos, representing seven components of life: Fire, Water, Wood, Gold, Earth, Dark & Light.

In Rongos World, players are provided a platform and tools as well as allowed to feel closer and more familiar to their own NFTs, overcoming barriers of space and time. It indicates the emotional experience that is unprecedented in any similar product. In the current blooming period of GameFi, a Web3 game product must be high-quality enough and can bring excellent emotion to players in the long run. Based on that main factor, we define our brand, and distinguish and solve the shortcomings of other products on the market.

In addition, instead of owning senseless NFTs impractical beyond the scope of the game, we’ve added elements of mystery and surprise for Rongos owners. Replicating real-life gestures, these Rongos will begin their digital life as unhatched eggs. The players then have the chance to hatch Rongos eggs and discover what awesome Rongos is inside. They nurture and train them from a baby to a fearless mature Rongos.

The game has two tokens with different usage: $RSS — The utility token and $ROCS — The governance token. We differentiate these two tokens by their own mechanism to ensure the interests for both players and holders.
